My Favorite Finds - Cozy

Just after I was born, one of my mom's friends gave us a blanket from Roberta Roller Rabbit.  My mom had never seen one of these before and it quickly became one of our favorite things.  It is 100% cotton which is something my mom loves.  They are quilted and a little fluffy making them perfect for the beach, park or anywhere that needs to be a little more cushy.  My mom also likes to use them to line restaurant high chairs, public restroom changing tables, grocery cart seats and anywhere else that needs to be clean and soft.  She also uses these blankets to drape over my stroller when I'm napping in a public place like a restaurant, store or park.  It really helps drown out the sound and light so I can sleep.  We love briging them on the airplane too, because they make my mom's arms even more cozy to sleep in.  They also come in really pretty and unique prints.

We love Roberta Roller Rabbit blankets - one of our favorite finds!

My Favorite Finds - Bathtime!

After having 3 kids in 4 years and developing her own business, my mom has found some great products and companies that she really loves.  I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts on our favorite finds here every Sunday.  Welcome to my first Favorite Finds!

Even though this has been a mild winter in New York, my skin was still getting chapped and red.  My mom found these awesome bath products by Shea Moisture and they have really made a difference. While my mom only recently discovered Shea Moisture at a trip to our local Walgreen's, the company has been around a long time.  We use their Head-To-Toe Wash & Shampoo as well as the Head-To-Toe Ointment.  While they call it an ointment, it's more like a thick balm and can be used on my body, face and lips.

The wash and ointment have an amazing smell, not fruity or flowery, but serene and peaceful. Shea Butter Baby is fragranced naturaly by chamomile, lavendar, honeysuckle, frankincense, calendula and myrrh. They are rich and moisturing without being too heavy.  All of my dry patches disappeared within 3 days and I find the smell really relaxing before bedtime!

My mom is very conscious of all the products she uses on us and only buys those that are safe and chemical free. Shea Moisture Baby products are free of parabens, phthalates, paraffin, gluten, propylene glycol, minerol oil, synthetic fragrance, paba, synthetic color, dea and sulfates. They are not tested on animals and are Made in the USA.

My First Thanksgiving!

My first Thanksgiving was so great!  I started the day off in the playroom watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with my crazy brothers and my Mom and Dad.  My Mom told me that next year she and Dada will take us into the city to watch the balloons get inflated.  That sounds like fun!

"Hey Mom look at me - I'm a Rockette!"

After our naps, we got dressed and headed over to Grammie and Papi's house to celebrate together.  Everyone was there, Mom and Dada, Royce, Brendan, Grandma and Papa, Grammie and Papi, Uncle Andreas and Gona.  Uncle Matthew couldn't be with us this year, because he is working in Tokyo.  We miss him and can't wait to see him at Christmas!

Grammie is the best, she always makes things so festive. She set a beautiful table and even got balloons for me and my brothers!

Here I am with my Dada!

My Papi is a chef, so the meal was incredible!  My mom gave me some turkey, potatoes and veggies too!  She just pureed them together first and it was super yummy!

I even got to play in my favorite jumper while everyone finished their meal - I love to jump!

Brendan got to play with his cars.

Royce wrestled with uncle Andreas.

My mom told me that Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all of our blessings and to spend time with friends and family.

Thank you Grammie and Papi!  I couldn't have wished for a better first Thanksgiving!

Dinnertime With Dada!

My dada travels a lot for work.  I get so excited when he's home and he is so excited to see me too!  My dada loves me so much!

Tonight, dada wanted to feed me dinner.  So mommy warmed up some of her delicious petite peas and potatoes - yummy!

I love this meal, I love this meal, I love this meal....

Deeee-licious!

A few sips of my bottle.....

I would like some more please.

Dada, you're too slow...let me at it!

I love dinner and I love you!

My First Meal

My name is Hayden Victoria and I am 5 ½ months old.  I recently had my first few bites of solid food.  Here’s how it went!

I’m sitting in this new cool chair and my mom is giving me my bottle in the kitchen!  I usually have my bottle in my room after my nap.  This is kind of exciting!

Hmmmm, what’s my mom doing over there?

She’s back and has these different things in her hands that are not a bottle!

 1. Okay, this looks interesting.

2. I think I’m supposed to eat this, but I’m not exactly sure how.

3. Okay mom, I’m going to try this!

4. I taste something very different than my bottle.

I like it!  I really like this new taste!  I think I’ll try more!

I had a few more small tastes….

 And then I was finished.

Thanks mom!  That was fun, let’s try it again tomorrow!
