My Favorite Finds - Rhoost Giveaway!

June is child safety month and no better time to talk about my mom's new favorite child proofing products. She was introduced to Rhoost, a product line created by good friends Vianka Perez Belyea and Tavinder Phull, a few months ago. Rhoost offers sleek, effective and non-toxic child safety items. There are 3 of us, 5 and under, in our home. Someone is always wrestling, running and tripping or coming distressingly close to poking an eye out on a table corner. My mom loves these Rhoost corner protectors, because they are not only stylish, but have helped to prevent a couple of possible trips to the hospital for me and my brothers.

"When Rhoost co-founder Vianka’s daughter, Soledad, turned 6 months, her pediatrician uttered the words Vianka had been dreading: “It’s time to start child-proofing your home V – this little girl with the big personality will be running circles around you in no time!” Vianka immediately added “Buy baby-proofing products” to the top of her to-do list and hit the mall. But after scouring every store, she only found herself disappointed by the poor functionality and invasive installation of the baby-proofing products available, and frustrated that none matched the style of the home in which she took so much pride. Unwilling to settle for existing products, damage her furniture or compromise Soledad’s safety – and confident that a better solution was possible – the idea for Rhoost was born."

One lucky winner will receive 2 sets of Rhoost corner protectors! There are 4 in each box so that's 8 table corners that will be protected! Open to US residents. To learn more about this wonderful company, visit www.rhoost.com

My Favorite Things - Today I Ate A Rainbow Kit Giveaway!

My mom was introduced to Kia Robertson, the creator and founder of Today I Ate A Rainbow, by their mutual good friend Jamie "The Baby Guy NYC". My mom is so happy to have met Kia. They both share the same passion to get kids excited about healthy food and providing parents with tools that make it easy.

"Having grown up as a very picky eater, Kia wanted to ensure that she did everything she could to establish healthy eating habits for her daughter, Hannah. After reading about the importance of eating a rainbow, Kia, along with her husband Jamie, set out to make eating fruits and vegetables fun. Knowing their daughter, they knew they needed to create something fun and interactive to capture her interest."

"They created the Today I Ate A Rainbow chart as a way to keep track of the produce that their daughter was eating while at the same time encouraging her to take responsibility for her food choices. Their goal is to help parents create an environment where kids will reach for an apple instead of junk food! Despite the information that is available on the importance of kids eating a minimum of five servings a day, studies from around the world have shown that kids aren’t eating enough fruits and vegetables."

My mom thinks the Today I Ate A Rainbow Kit is absolute genius. It is such a simple idea that makes keeping track of your child's healthy eating a breeze. Parents are all so busy these days, it's one less thing to worry about, plus it's fun for your child! The kit comes with lots of colorful, magnetic shapes your child can add to the chart to keep track of their healthy day!

Not only does the kit come with the informative and colorful chart, it also comes with Kia's fantastic book The Rainbow Bunch! One lucky winner will get a Today I Ate A Rainbow Kit to help their child/children eat a rainbow every day!

Open to US and Canadian residents!

My Favorite Things - Betty Barrettes Giveaway!

One of my mom's favorite things about going to baby expos and events is meeting the other vendors and seeing all the new and fabulous products on the market. When she was in Boston for the Drool Baby Expo hosted by Magic Beans, she met Priya, one of the founders and creators of Betty Barrettes. My mom was really taken with their display and immediately fell in love with their clever barrette holders. She said Betty Barrettes is definitely her new favorite gift for little girls!

My Betty Barrettes before mom added my bows
"Betty Barrettes was founded by three moms who were determined to find a fun way to organize their daughter’s barrettes so they would never go missing again. What started as a craft project for their daughters quickly grew into a business for these three busy moms. Within a few short months from its inception, Betty Barrettes hanging dolls were in gift stores and boutiques all over New England."

With all of my beautiful bows - I love it!
Betty Barrettes dolls are available in a variety of hair colors and face designs. They are also continually adding new designs. They actually made my Big Doll Barrette Holder to match my beautiful red hair from a picture my mom sent them - how cool is that?  One lucky winner will receive a Betty Barrettes Big Doll Barrette Holder of their choice! Visit www.bettybarrettes.com to see all the adorable designs, faces and hair colors!
